​Sol è uno di loro. Non è un soldato, non è un ingegnere. È un cercatore di memorie. In un mondo che ha cancellato il proprio passato per sopravvivere al presente, Sol scava tra i detriti digitali e i vecchi server delle Arcadie per ritrovare frammenti di ciò che eravamo. Il suo casco non serve solo a respirare, ma a isolarsi dal rumore metallico di una civiltà che ha dimenticato il significato della parola "umanità".

​Ma la sua scoperta più pericolosa non è un file o un vecchio diario. È Kael.
